New Pottery Studio Opens

CLINTON - Pickwick Studios, a new pottery-painting studio, has opened its doors at the former Paint It Pottery store on the second floor of Dickens Lane on East Main Street in Clinton.

A wide selection of pottery pieces, including small statuettes, large platters, tiles and vases, is ready for customers' creative touches.

Stencils and sponge stamps are available or customers can paint their own designs. Owner Mindy D'Amico glazes and fires each piece in the on-premises kiln. Finished pieces are usually available for pickup within one week.

Ms. D'Amico plans to bring in wood and terra cotta pieces for painting soon. She has experience teaching adults and children and enjoys helping people bring their ideas to life.

The studio is open Tuesdays through Saturdays with special hours set aside for Ladies' Night Out, birthday parties and other special events. For more information call 730-9090.
